About Us

From our first small Microsoft Access contract, to developing enterprise web applications, NetFocus Consulting has always tried to meet and exceed the demands of our customers. We understand that a quality product is beneficial for our customers, as well as our reputation.

NetFocus Consulting is working on developing a niche market using open source software for web applications. We believe this is mutually beneficial to our customers for a number of reasons:

  • Open source software is free to use. This means that the cost of development is much lower which is also reflected in the price of the end product to the user.
  • We want to focus on what we are good at. Because we know what we're doing, we develop faster, and more robust products.
  • We believe that there is good growth potential in web applications. This growth potential provides numerous opportunities to help Netfocus Consulting grow.
  • As a platform for development, the Web is accessable from just about anywhere, and operating system independent. Web applications require only that the client machine has internet access and a browser. This makes web applications extremely portable and available to users around the globe.
Two of the projects we've worked on have been honored by peers. They are:
Some examples of Open Source tools that we use are:
  • Joomla and InfoGlue Content Management Systems. Our clients manage their own web site content using either Joomla or InfoGlue. Some of the implementations are not trivial with nested portal sites with a significant number of pages that are maintained by the client.
  • Groundwork with Nagios. Groundwork is a web based configuration tool for Nagios. Nagios is an industry tested monitoring tool that several of my clients have used. Do you want to be notified the minute your web site or critical service bites the dust? This is the tool (at the price) you need.
